
Food, cooking, and wellness
As a registered dietitian, I’ve been trained to use food as medicine to prevent, manage, or treat disease. The longer I practice, the more I realize that good health isn’t just the absence of disease. It’s a balance of mind, body, and spirit that promotes a sense of vitality, and keeps us young and vibrant even as we age.
I’m not one to hand you a meal plan or tell you what to eat. As an integrative nutritionist, I try to take a more holistic approach with my patients. I believe in meeting people where they are; getting to the root cause of their symptoms; helping them to take charge of their own health; to find balance on their plate and in their lives. Diet is a major pillar of health, as are stress management, sleep, movement, and happiness.
