As a registered dietitian, I’ve been trained to use food as medicine to prevent, manage, or treat disease. The longer I practice, the more I realize that good health isn’t just the absence of disease. It’s a balance of mind, body, and spirit that promotes a sense of vitality and keeps us young and vibrant even as we age.
I’ve always believed in a holistic approach that meets people where they are, gets to the root cause of their symptoms, helps them take charge of their own health, and finds balance on their plate and in their lives. Diet is a major pillar of health, as are stress management, sleep, movement, and happiness.
